Go For Launch

Today is the day.  The day we have been waiting for.  Tonight Team Amsterdam leaves at 8:50 pm.  We are scheduled to land in Amsterdam Friday morning their time.  All other teams have left except for us and Team Nepal.  Its been hard saying goodbye for two months to new friends.  Campus is nearly a ghost town.
Everything seems like a dream.  I feel like a man with no home, but knowing that I am in God's will gives me perfect peace.  It was only 3 short months ago when I landed on this rock and left my home of LA of 3 1/2 years.   Before I came here I was in Kentucky for a few weeks visiting family and now I'm leaving this home for two more months in Europe to which I will leave, then come back to Hawaii for a week and then go back to my Old Kentucky ho
me.  After that, no one knows except for God.  And I'm so happy to say that I have no worries about it.  Since I've been on this island of Hawaii, I have not worried even once.  Not about my finances.  Not about my future.  Not about my needs.  It has literally been the peace that surpasses all understanding.  Because before coming here, I would not have been able to say the same thing.  I praise God for all His mercy and grace.  He has poured out so much of His love in this season.
I've learned so many things.  And mostly the lessons didn't come from the lectures, but they came from God speaking to me directly or through a life lesson.  If I came away from one thing being here, it has been this:  I Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."  Brian Brent said this, "You will find the specific will of God while doing the general will of God."  For so long, I sought after God's will in my life, but I wasn't seeking God.  I thought I was doing both by seeking after His will.  I was so wrong.

As I said earlier, we leave tonight.  Your prayers matter and they are much appreciated.  Thank you for your support and for keeping up with us.  I have posted a video below that gives a bit of the vision for our team.
