Arrival

After 3 smooth flights and a day and a half of time travel, we made it to Amsterdam early Friday morning.  We spent most of the day getting situated and shown around our new home.  The city is beautiful and it is comfortably cold here.  At least for me it is, the girls are freezing.  The Amsterdam base is located at de poort which is the 'the port'.  Its the gateway of the city.  So its really cool how God placed the YWAM base right at the entrance of the city.  The building was bought in 1985 and was just paid off last week.
Sunday, we went to Crossroads church about 45 minutes away where we connected with one of the ministries we will be working with.

Today, we are still ironing out the details for the rest of the ministry we will be doing here in Amsterdam.  The base has a small prayer tower at the top of the building that overlooks the city.  The first night I was up there with a fellow student, I saw a light in the distance shining up into the sky.  Immediately, the Lord spoke to me, "There is still hope for this city."  Please join with us to pray for reformation in this city.  The base leader, Steve told us that the mayor of Amsterdam is putting forth an effort to do away with the brothels in the city.
Thank you for all of your prayer and support.  I will continue to update once or twice a week, as well as a video update that you will see on Facebook.
