There is nothing like starting your day off with a rude awakening and feeling the heaviness all morning and into the day. But when God gives you the grace to worship Him, all the crazy arrows and darts of life seem so silly and insignificant. Worship is a weapon. Prime examples of this would be David and Paul. In the middle of the battle, in the midst of the storm; it is one of the hardest things to do, but when we choose to worship God, the breakthrough is ridiculous. The devil is a liar and I can't wait to punch him in the face....That was for free.
One of the neatest things about God is that He know what you're about to go through. That's why He will have you memorize I Corinthians 13, so you will be able to love in all situations. That's why He has you write I Thessalonians 5:16-18 on your heart. (Rejoice always. Pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.) If you're looking for God's will in your life, look no further. This is obviously easier said than done. But if we really apply this to our life, we will begin to see major breakthrough when life happens. Last week, Brian Brent said something that has stuck with me. (And I might have quoted him on this in last week's blog, but nevertheless...) He said, "The specific will of God can only be found by doing the general will of God." What is the general will of God. I Thessalonians 5:16-18. Its really that simple. We make it so complex, but God is simply looking for simple obedience.
There's only 3 weeks left before Team Amsterdam launches. I am still raising support for while I am in Amsterdam for two months. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me. Please, please, please pray for our team to be in complete unity. And that we would walk in love and not judgement.
